Dream/lucid/OBE April 10/2026: I decided to take a morning nap since I had not slept enough hours during the night. Right before I fell asleep I thought about wanting to have an OBE (out of body experience). But I did not really expect one since I have had that thought before (I had some OBEs during my younger years). I feel asleep quite quickly and started to dream. I was speaking to my dead grandmother on the phone. There were a lot of pauses and I did not really make out what she wanted to say. Then it hit me: she makes no real sense cause she probably has another stroke! The I suddenly found myself in a bed, but not my own but a dream bed and I was half asleep. I noticed that something felt off. Some vibrations in my body in this dream state and everything felt a bit muddy and dark as it usually does when you are about to get out of your body - a heavy feeling. I felt completely awake and lucid in this room. I thought to myself - this is så cool - don't blow this now by being to exited! Excitement can really ruin lucid dreams and/or OBEs. So I slowly tried to wiggle myself out of my dream body - and it felt so heavy and like gravity was quite heavy. I stretched my hand and arm down to the floor and end felt like I was getting out of my body. the first thing I wanted to du was to check the things they say you should not do: looking at yourself in bed and looking intro the mirror. But as I looked at my body I did not see much - my vision felt a bit blurry and muddy. So I tried to look for a mirror but I don't think I could see myself there as it was to far up. So next thing I tried was to try to walk through a wall but imagine to my surprise - I could NOT put my hand through it! It actually felt solid! So my experiment did not work out so well. I read that when being right next to your body you can get these sensations of things feeling heavy, muddy colors and things feeling solid. But if it was just a lucid dream and not an OBE that should not make a difference. Anyway - it was a cool experience. I wonder what my grandmother wanted to say..
Your dream of April 10, 2026, where you had a quasi-out of body experience (OBE) mixed with elements of a lucid dream and communication with a deceased loved one, can be interpreted on multiple levels.
Dream Context: Speaking to your deceased grandmother on the phone, but experiencing communication difficulties.
Interpretation: Dreams of communicating with the deceased often represent unresolved feelings or the desire for guidance and closure. The phone conversation with your grandmother, filled with pauses and garbled messages, could symbolize a longing to connect with her wisdom or support. The notion that she might have had "another stroke" signifies your subconscious awareness of her fragility and the finality of her passing. This part of the dream may suggest that there are emotions or messages you wish to resolve related to her.
Dream Context: Transitioning to a dream bed, feeling vibrations, and a heavy sensation associated with attempting an OBE.
Interpretation: Vibrations and the feeling of heaviness are common preludes to OBEs and often represent the subconscious acknowledging a waking-dreaming threshold. This state indicates a heightened awareness and the potential for lucidity. Noticing these details in your dream reflects a blend of conscious recognition that you are dreaming, which hints at you having lucid dreaming capabilities. The conscious decisions you made to maintain calmness to avoid disrupting the experience show an understanding of dream states.
Dream Context: Blurred vision when checking on your body and encountering a solid wall.
Interpretation: In dreams and OBEs, blurriness and resistance can symbolize internal psychological or emotional blocks. The inability to see clearly or move freely represents potential subconscious reluctance or fear concerning what you might discover about yourself. The dream is perhaps pointing to personal boundaries or limitations you perceive in waking life. The solidity of the wall could convey obstacles in your life that feel insurmountable or are based on beliefs and attitudes you’ve yet to address or overcome.
This dream encapsulates a fascinating blend of seeking spiritual exploration through OBEs, combined with lucidity and subconscious communication with a loved one. Your subconscious might be blending these experiences to facilitate a deeper understanding of yourself, encouraging exploration of the self and reconciliation of past experiences with the deceased. The excitement and curiosity in the dream are encouraging signals, suggesting that you are open to personal growth and introspection, albeit within a safe dream setting. Overall, your experience is a tapestry created by your subconscious to foster existential exploration, potentially providing insights into unresolved emotions related to your grandmother and personal self-discovery.
This vivid dream experience highlights your readiness to explore deep within, as well as the potential for achieving further clarity and growth in areas that currently feel ‘solid’ or unyieldable in your life.
